Rome

Hello!

We are going to talk about our experience in Rome.  Rome is the capital of Italy. This city is located in the middle of Italy, in Laci region near Tiber and 22 km far to the Mediterranean sea.

The weather in August, when we were in Rome, was very hot and it was sun. I needed an umbrela but it wasn't about raining, it was because there was very sun and hot and we needed shade.

The legend of Rome is very interesting, because is talking about the second civilation after Greeks. The legent talk to us  how the sons of Rea Silvia and Mart (god of war) were abandoned in river Tiber because Numitor, father of Real Silvia, was afraid because the "auguris" (birds who have the capacity of predict the future) told him that his grandsons will still his power. When Rea Silvia abandoned her sons, Romul and Rem, a wolf adopted and caring them. When they were adults they decide to create a new city: Rome. The "auguris" decided who govern the city because the power can't be distributed. The governant was Romul, and he killed his brother Rem.

First of all we want to explain our firts impresion we have got of Rome. There was a lot of places where people sold a lot of presents, souvenirs and gifts from there. This little places were located around the Colisseum. The colisseum is a very big construction situated in the middle of the city.  In this places was where the gladiators fighting to entertein people. Also this fights could be with gladiators with  beasts (lions and tigres).

Another place that enjoy us was the Fontana di Trevi. It is a giant fountain with statues of a carriage shaped shell and on this shell, in the middle there is a statue of the God of the ocean, Neptú, the left there is a statue which represent the abundance and the right statue represent the health.

The legend about this fountain is: If three people throw three coints back each one with their right hand over sholders they will come back, they will be lucky and they will sure a married or divorce and if two people throw two coints, one each one, they will start a new relaxionship.
We like doing traditions and legends therefore our families and us threw a coint each one.

triumphal arch
Triumphal arch are the most important building in Rome. When they had a military victory they build this buildings.

Another thing that surprised us was the quantity of pigeon in spaces.

The typical food in Rome is pasta, pizza and ice-cream. When we were in Rome we ate a lot of pasta with different sauces and toppings, and the best pizza we tasted ever!!! When we were walking around the street we found a lot of little places where we could buy oices of pizza. The pizzas were giant and they were exposed to the people who was in the street. All of ice-cream we tasted in Rome were delicious, but our favourite flavor was xocolat.

The people who we saw they were spontaneous, friendly and they wanted to you bought their products, even, you could bargaining because they wanted it a lot. In the queue I saw guides who did a route in Colisseum but they didn't working in this places, It wasn't a services of Colisseum. It's possible the Colisseum would had this services but this people bought the tickets and sold ones more cheeper and offer the guides sevices. It happened probably the Colisseum hadn't employed or this people wanted all earning for them.
